PD-CA SM (Strong Men) is a non-profit dedicated to helping men face their challenges and build power within themselves through connection with other men. We are based in Greater Adelaide and have been offering programs in South Australia and throughout the country. We believe that men are more powerful and in service to their mission in their world with the support of other men who can walk with them in life and hold them accountable to their highest ideals.
PD-CA SM believes in a world where all men, and all people, can fully express their personal gifts and genius in service to their families and communities. Such authenticity can only be accessed through deep work with ourselves – PDCA (plan-do-check-act) wellbeing work. Drawing from the wisdom of ages and an understanding of the ever-changing needs of modern times, PD-CA has created an integrated series of programs designed to engage and support men in this important wellbeing p-d-c-a work. It is our experience that a holistic wellbeing work is the gateway to authentic manhood, which in turn leads to a life of joy, service, wisdom and passion. PD-CA is dedicated to helping men choose the path to authentic manhood, providing the resources, tools, support and community needed to make such a journey a success.
PD-CA being a universal principle for management system of Plan-Do-Check-Act which translates to:
People Development Centre & Aspirations
It involves service (Personal Development) and the giving of time, talents, efforts and finance. What is given in service is the road to what is gained personally & professionally. Aspirations involves hope, friendship, advocacy, tolerance and understanding of others.

The Government’s new Men’s Health Strategy shows that Australia continues to lead the world when it comes to improving men’s health. Australia is one of the world’s healthiest societies and ranks in the top 10 for life expectancy worldwide.
In 2010, Australia became the third country in the world to adopt a National Men’s Health Strategy after Ireland (2008) and Argentina (2009). The publication of the draft strategy for 2020-2030 renews the nation’s commitment to take collective action to create a healthier future for men and boys.
The National Men’s Health Strategy 2020-2030 has tackled some of the criticisms and delivers a clear message throughout the strategy: the health service needs to work harder to work for men and boys.
The Story
“Labor has committed to take action to improve men’s health if it wins the Federal election held in the first half of 2019. The commitment came on Day Three of the ALP National Conference in Adelaide.”
Chapter 8 of Labor’s National Platform includes a section on Men’s Health that makes the following commitments:
1. Update and fully implement the National Male Health Policy, including an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander male health policy with a focus on valuing young men;
2. Develop and implement policies to improve male mental health and prevent male suicide, particularly in rural areas;
3. Support policies to address the gap in life expectancy between males and females;
4. Implement policies and programs to reduce the incidence of prostate and bowel cancer, including the continuation of bowel cancer screening, and support prostate and bowel cancer treatment, support and research; and
5. Consult with the relevant communities about the specific health needs of gay and bisexual men, and men who are transgender or intersex, and about the provision of culturally appropriate health services, and ensure their appropriate resourcing and promotion.
The Coalition has also committed to take action on men’s health and has produced a Men’s Health Strategy for 2020-2030 that aims to build on the 2010 Male Health Policy and it was published in 2019.
