ABOUT WORLD STANDARDS DAY:
Taking place every year on 14 October, World Standards Day offers the opportunity to increase understanding of the importance of standardization.
SHARED VISION FOR A BETTER WORLD: INCORPORATING SDG 3
We envision a world that is better, fairer, and more sustainable, prioritizing the well-being and health of all.
Aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for peace, prosperity, and the welfare of both people and the planet, each SDG presents an urgent call to action, and achieving them requires our collective effort.
International Standards offer practical solutions we can all stand behind. By using international standards, you become a part of the solution.
SDG 3 focuses on ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all; this plays a crucial role in our shared vision.
As the leading developers of international standards, the IEC, ISO, and ITU urge the global community to unite in this endeavour.
Together, we can create a world where well-being and good health are safeguarded, today and for the generations to come.
“Today, we are asking you to join us on a mission that affirms the importance of the SDGs to build back better. In this pursuit, standards are more relevant than ever.” Continue reading…
